Sheraton Hawaii Bowl

Sheraton Hawaii Bowl

Sheraton Hawaii Bowl

Everyone in the islands was anticipating this years Sheraton Hawaii Bowl and chance to see the Warriors take advantage of a seemingly wounded Notre Dame football team. Instead what the 40,000+ fans witnessed was what happens when you corner a wild animal, something you may not be able to handle.

From play #1  it seemed as though we saw a totally different Fighting Irish team than the sports fans all around the world witnessed during the regular season. Notre Dame played with a purpose. Whether it was to salvage the employment status of Fighting Irish head coach Charlie Weiss of strictly for pride, it was a royal Christmas Eve Spanking.

I guess the real gift for UH fans was the mere fact that the Warriors actually made it to post season play after starting the season 1-3, and then later in the season losing to one of the worst teams in the WAC, Utah State.  Let’s keep it real, all season we’ve talked about and witnessed the lack of real Div I talent at various positions for the Warriors, so when a team who signs the top Blue Chippers in the country year after year what do you expect?

Notre Dame passed for more than 400 yards, they had big plays on offense and special teams, plus the Warriors offense was invisible at various times throughout the game. This was a total mismatch and is a wake up call that recruiting has to major focus if the Warriors want to compete in post season appearances.

Arena Football League

Arena Football League

The Arena Football League, after almost 20 seasons of wall smashing, high scoring, upclose and personal, indoor football competition, is canceling its 2009 season. After several interuptions from the hold up of the release of the 2009 league schedule to the sudden resignation of former Commissioner baker, you can easily say you saw something going on with the AFL, but not this.

Not only do fans look forward to their favorite sports season but so do the players and their families who sacrifice so much for the game. I guess you could say the economy just made a few more hundred young talent men unemployed. Stay tuned as we dig up the dirt on why the AFL really shut down for 2009.

National Football League

No matter what team you were cheering your head off for you have to say that was a great game! Let’s be real sports fans, yes we all want our favorite team to make it to the Superbowl but that only happens for a small group of football fans because only 2 of the 32 teams actually make it to the final stage. When your team falls short of making it to the title game the default is to just hope for a good competition that your guests are intrigued enough to pay attention after all the halftime hoopla. hts-logo-clear-backkgroundWelcome to HI Team Sports, the most innovative and visibly active sports marketing & events firm in Hawaii. HI Team Sports was created in 2004 to become the ultimate resource for student athletes in Hawaii. It all began with our Sports Combines & Clinics as we toured the islands testing the physical capabilities of the youth.

Next was raising the level of competition by hosting sports tournaments so the youth can challenge each other to see who really had the skills and the drive to get even better. HTS Tournaments have developed to no only events for the youth, but even the next level, and former, athletes come out to display their skills.

The In School Jam was created to further emphasize the importance of education and to establish a platform that educates the youth on the dangers in the world. Through the In School Jam students are informed with information on what happens if you make the wrong decisions andthe consequences that comes along with it. The In School Jam is the most rewarding experience for our organization because it allows us to reach out to all students, not just athletes.

Our goals are simple, to educate and empower the youth of Hawaii through sports & education and to encourage healthy living for all. The youth of today will one day create a better lifestyle for all the people of the islands, but today they need our guidance and support. Come be a part of the team and help us help the youth of Hawaii. Mahalo!
