The University of Hawaii men’s basketball team ended it’s 2009-2010 season 10-20, (3-13). Despite the dismal season the Bows still had outside chances of making to the WAC post tournament and sneaking into the NCAA’s if they could could some help and beat the Idaho Vandals in their season finale.
For the second straight game UH fell victim to the long ball as the Vandals shot 14-of-27 from behind the arc. Roderick Flemings, making his final appearance as a Rainbow Warrior scored a game-high 29 points while fellow senior Petras Balocka recorded his fifth double-double of the season and eighth of his career with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
UH came out strong and lead by as many as five points, including a 27-22 lead with less than five minutes left in the first half. But the Vandals ended on a 13-5 run to take a 35-32 lead into the locker room.
